Roseke Engineering Ltd. is southern Alberta’s primary engineering consultant for County and M.D. bridge projects.  Our expertise is second to none and ensures that rural municipalities provide the maximum benefit to their citizens at the least cost.

Counties and Municipal Districts need engineering services that are efficient:

  • Timely
  • Cost effective
  • Strong communication

County and M.D. bridges are often on gravel roads with small traffic volumes.  Often these structures don’t need fancy design and construction requirements.  The design and specifications need to be top notch, of course, but the rural municipality needs ensure the traffic crosses the stream safely, first and foremost.  We have learned to value the County/M.D. requirements and scale the project to the right size.

Some county and M.D. roads have higher traffic volumes which warrant more in-depth analysis and features like on-site detour roads, hydrology to guard against future flooding, and asphalt pavement.  These structures must be given the appropriate level of care and attention without undue costs.

Counties and M.D.’s require top notch communication during a project, especially with the project sponsor (usually a Public Works Manager).

Our bridge division are the recognized experts in County and M.D. bridges.  We would love to talk to you about how we can improve and optimize your bridge program:

Bernie Roseke, P.Eng., PMP is the founder and president of Roseke Engineering Ltd.  He has 20 years experience in the design of rural bridges, culverts, and drainage structures, primarily for Counties, M.D.’s and Alberta Transportation.

Levi Ober, P.L.(Eng.) is our bridge manager and responsible for delivering bridge, culvert and erosion control projects on time and budget.  He has 14 years experience in the assessment, design and construction supervision experience on County, M.D. and Alberta Transportation bridge projects.  He has designed every type of standard bridge and bridge sized culvert, and he is a class B bridge inspector.

Riley Johnson, T.T. is our junior bridge technologist.  He has assisted with design and performed construction supervision services on numerous bridge projects, and his enthusiasm for bridge work is very high.
