Crowsnest Pass Golf & Country Club Bridge

Project Name: Blairmore Creek Bridge
Location: Crowsnest Pass Golf and Country Club
Description: Construction of a new 22 m long truss bridge for golf and maintenance traffic

This new bridge over the Blairmore Creek at the Crowsnest Pass Golf & Country club was required due to development of a new coal mine near the golf course.  Roseke Engineering Ltd. was the prime consultant to the Golf club, with the mining company as a major stakeholder.

The bridge is about 10 m above Blairmore Creek, with a small waterfall beneath that provides a very scenic crossing that showcases the area.  Cast-in-place concrete abutments were secured to the rock face with 25M rock anchors.

The bridge was designed for golf cart traffic but also for golf course maintenance equipment.  The width of the bridge allows pickup trucks to cross as well as small construction equipment.

The curved bowstring-style truss bridge with weathered steel is very aesthetic and enhances the character of the golf course for its users.
